First seen Feb 20, 2026 · Last updated Jun 12, 2026 · Updated 14 times
Summary
This study looked at how walking exercise and changes in body fat relate to brain structure in 22 overweight or obese adults who also had headaches. Participants either followed a diet plus a 12-week walking program or diet alone. Brain scans and body measurements were taken before and after. The goal was to see if losing body fat through exercise could affect brain gray and white matter volumes. This is an observational study, not a treatment trial.
