Summary
This study tested a technique called WALANT (wide awake local anesthesia without a tourniquet) combined with nerve blocks for carpal tunnel release surgery. The goal was to see if this approach reduces pain and improves comfort compared to the standard method that uses a tourniquet. Sixty adults having endoscopic carpal tunnel release took part. The main focus was on pain scores during surgery.
