First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 22 times
Summary
This study looked at whether adding virtual reality (VR) exercises to standard physical therapy helps people with a slipped disc in their lower back. 93 adults with long-term back pain took part. The goal was to see if VR could improve balance, reduce pain and fear of movement, and boost mood and quality of life. The results suggest VR may be a helpful extra tool for managing symptoms.
