NCT ID NCT07203716
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 26 times
Summary
This study tests whether watching a virtual reality (VR) video before an MRI scan can help children aged 5 to 10 stay calm and still. The VR video shows what the MRI machine looks like and sounds like, so kids know what to expect. The goal is to reduce movement, the need for sedation, and the time spent in the scanner. About 150 children having their first MRI will be randomly assigned to watch the VR video at home and again at the hospital, only at the hospital, or receive standard care without VR.
