New antibody drug could unlock kidney transplants for 'impossible' patients

NCT ID NCT05092347

First seen Feb 24, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 10 times

Summary

This study tests a drug called vonsetamig in people with chronic kidney disease who have very high levels of antibodies that make it nearly impossible to find a matching donor kidney. The goal is to safely lower those antibodies so they can receive a kidney transplant. About 56 adults will take part in this early-phase study to check safety and whether the drug works.
