New antibody drug could open door to kidney transplants for Hard-to-Match patients
NCT ID NCT05092347
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tests a drug called vonsetamig in 43 people with chronic kidney disease who are on dialysis and have very high levels of anti-HLA antibodies, making it nearly impossible to find a matching kidney donor. The drug aims to safely lower these antibodies so that a kidney transplant becomes possible. Researchers are also monitoring side effects and how the drug works in the body.
