Summary
This study tested whether eating vitamin D fortified bread as part of a healthy diet can prevent low vitamin D levels during winter. 128 Irish family members, including children aged 5 and older, took part. The goal was to see if this simple food-based approach could safely improve vitamin D status in a country with limited sunlight.
