First seen Jan 17, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 18 times
Summary
This study tests whether giving vitamin C through a vein before and during surgery can reduce blood loss in women having a hysterectomy (removal of the uterus) for non-cancer reasons like fibroids or adenomyosis. Forty women will be split into two groups: one gets vitamin C, the other gets a placebo (salt water). The main goal is to measure how much blood is lost during surgery.
