Summary

This large study looked at whether taking daily vitamin D and omega-3 (fish oil) supplements can help prevent cancer, heart disease, and stroke in healthy older adults. Over 25,000 men and women aged 50+ took the supplements for about 5 years. The goal was to see if these common vitamins could lower the risk of developing these serious illnesses.
