First seen Jun 27, 2026 ยท Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tested whether visual or sensory distractions (like videos or toys) help reduce pain and anxiety in 100 healthy children aged 4-6 during a dental numbing shot. Kids were randomly assigned to a distraction group or a no-distraction group. Researchers measured pain and anxiety using child-friendly scales and heart rate monitors to see which approach works best.
