First seen Nov 17, 2025 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 26 times

Summary

This study tested whether visual or sensory distractions (like videos or toys) help reduce pain and anxiety in 100 healthy children aged 4-6 during a dental numbing shot. Kids were randomly assigned to a distraction group or a no-distraction group. Researchers measured pain and anxiety using child-friendly scales and heart rate monitors to see which approach worked best.
