First seen Jun 24, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study tests a virtual reality assistant called ViRA designed to provide emotional support and help with daily needs like food and transportation for Black men recently diagnosed with prostate cancer. About 200 participants will use the ViRA app and researchers will measure how many men enroll, accept, and regularly use the tool. The goal is to see if this approach can help close the care gap for African American men facing prostate cancer.
