First seen Jan 07, 2026 · Last updated May 03, 2026 · Updated 18 times
Summary
This study tested whether using virtual reality (VR) during wound dressing changes could reduce pain and improve sleep in adults with moderate to severe burns. Sixty patients were randomly assigned to either standard care or standard care plus VR. The results showed that VR helped lower pain during the procedure and improved sleep quality compared to standard care alone.
