First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated Apr 25, 2026 · Updated 16 times

Summary

This study looks at whether using a vibrating device or doing breathing exercises right before a chest tube is taken out can lower pain and anxiety. About 70 adults who need a chest tube removed after surgery will be split into three groups: vibration, breathing exercises, or standard care. The goal is to find a safe, low-cost, drug-free way to make this common procedure more comfortable.
