First seen Jun 27, 2026 ยท Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study is testing a new device called a multichannel vestibular implant for people who have lost most or all of their balance function due to inner ear damage. The implant electrically stimulates the balance nerve to help improve stability and vision during movement. Up to 30 adults with severe, long-term balance loss will be enrolled to see if the device is safe and can restore some balance reflexes.
