Blood test may cut bleeding risk for heart patients on strong meds
NCT ID NCT04654052
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tests whether a blood test can help doctors safely lower the dose of strong blood thinners (P2Y12 inhibitors) in people who recently had a heart attack or stent. The goal is to reduce bleeding complications without raising the risk of another heart attack or stroke. About 634 adults who are already on dual antiplatelet therapy will be monitored for up to one year.
