Summary

This study uses a non-invasive monitoring technique called electrical impedance tomography (EIT) to see how air is distributed in the lungs of children with acute respiratory failure in the pediatric intensive care unit (PICU). Researchers will observe how changes in ventilator settings, body position, suctioning, and breathing therapy affect lung ventilation. The goal is to gather data to better understand and potentially improve breathing support for these children.
