Summary

This study compares two ways of using a breathing machine (volume-controlled vs. pressure-controlled ventilation) during laparoscopic gynecologic surgery. The goal is to see which method better protects the brain and lungs when patients are placed head-down and the abdomen is filled with gas. Researchers will enroll 120 adults aged 18–70 who are scheduled for this type of surgery.
