First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 36 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a protein called vasorin in the blood can help doctors tell the difference between septic shock (caused by infection) and other types of shock. Researchers will measure vasorin levels in 144 intensive care patients and compare them with standard tests. If successful, vasorin could lead to quicker, more accurate diagnosis and reduce unnecessary antibiotic use.
