First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 18 times
Summary
This study looked at over 3,600 adults having major surgery to find out which of two blood pressure drugs (norepinephrine or phenylephrine) is better at preventing serious problems like kidney injury or death. Patients received one of the drugs during anesthesia, and researchers tracked their recovery for 30 days. The goal is to help doctors choose the safest option for maintaining blood pressure during surgery.
