Shock to the neck: new device aims to stop Parkinson's falls

Summary
This pilot study tests a non-invasive device that stimulates the vagus nerve through the neck to improve walking and balance in veterans with Parkinson's disease. About 40 veterans will use the device at home while researchers measure changes in stride length and freezing of gait. The goal is to reduce fall risk and help veterans stay independent longer.
