VA tests new program to empower veterans in their mental health care
NCT ID NCT06898879
Summary
This study is testing a 10-session group program designed to help Veterans with serious mental illnesses like schizophrenia or bipolar disorder work more effectively with their treatment teams. The goal is to help Veterans gain the skills and confidence to collaborate on their own recovery goals, such as improving work, school, or personal life. Researchers will compare this program to another group activity to see if it improves how Veterans and clinicians make decisions together and supports better long-term outcomes.
