VA tests digital tool to speed up mental health help for veterans
NCT ID NCT04506164
Summary
This study tested whether a digital screening system called 'eScreening' works better than standard paper methods in VA clinics. The goal was to see if using iPads helps identify mental health issues like PTSD, depression, and suicide risk more quickly and reliably in post-9/11 Veterans. Researchers compared the new digital system to the old paper-based process across eight clinics to see if it improved screening rates and got Veterans connected to care faster.
