First seen Sep 30, 2025 · Last updated May 17, 2026 · Updated 26 times

Summary

This study follows 2,500 people with a rare cancer of the kidney's upper urinary tract (UTUC) to see if less invasive, kidney-sparing surgery works as well as removing the whole kidney. Researchers will track survival, cancer return, kidney function, and quality of life over 10 years. The goal is to help update treatment guidelines so more patients can keep their kidneys safely.
