Womb transplants offer hope for women born without a uterus

NCT ID NCT05263076

First seen May 04, 2026 · Last updated May 04, 2026

Summary

This study tests whether a uterus transplant from a living or deceased donor can help 10 women with absolute uterine factor infertility (missing or non-working uterus) get pregnant and have a baby. Participants must be 20-40 years old, have at least one working ovary, and be free of certain infections. After transplant, they will need lifelong anti-rejection medication to keep the uterus healthy.
