Summary

This study is testing whether a medication called upadacitinib can help people with Takayasu arteritis stay in remission longer and reduce their need for steroid medications. It involves adults who have recently had a flare-up of this rare autoimmune disease that causes inflammation in the body's largest arteries. Participants will receive either the study drug or a placebo, along with a carefully managed plan to lower their steroid dose, to see which approach better prevents future disease relapses.

TAKAYASU ARTERITIS (TAK)
