Ultrasound tool may better track rare artery disease
NCT ID NCT07571577
First seen May 11, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study looks at whether a special ultrasound score, called OTUS, can help doctors monitor disease activity in people with Takayasu arteritis, a rare condition that causes inflammation in large arteries. About 100 adults with active disease will have regular ultrasounds during their routine care. The goal is to see if the score changes as the disease improves or worsens, which could lead to better monitoring without extra tests or treatments.
