One-Leg workouts beat Two-Leg training for ACL recovery

NCT ID NCT07271173

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tested whether doing strength exercises one leg at a time (unilateral training) helps people regain leg strength and balance better than using both legs together after ACL reconstruction surgery. 48 adults who had surgery at least 3 months ago completed 6 weeks of supervised training. The goal was to see which method leads to more equal strength between the injured and healthy leg.
