Summary
This study is for people with stomach, pancreas, or bowel cancer who are having surgery, as well as some people without cancer for comparison. The goal is to understand why some patients lose muscle and weight (cachexia) and how it affects their recovery. Researchers will track changes in body composition, physical activity, and quality of life over a year using questionnaires, blood tests, and scans.
