First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 21 times

Summary

This study tests whether using ultrasound to measure the tongue, throat, and neck can better predict when a patient will have a difficult airway during surgery, compared to standard physical exams. Researchers will enroll 200 adults having planned surgery under general anesthesia. The goal is to see if ultrasound can make airway assessment more accurate and help prevent complications.
