New HON model aims to make breathing tube insertion safer

Summary
This study tests a new scoring system called the HON Model to predict when placing a breathing tube (intubation) might be difficult. It combines a person's height and jaw size with checks for airway blockage and neck movement. Researchers will study 350 adults having surgery to see if this model works better than current methods.
