New ultrasound method could replace radioactive dye in cancer surgery

NCT ID NCT07310758

Summary

This study is testing a new, non-radioactive method to find the first lymph nodes where cancer might spread. It compares a special contrast-enhanced ultrasound to the current standard method that uses a radioactive dye. The goal is to see if the ultrasound method works just as well, which could make the procedure safer and more convenient for patients with melanoma, breast, or head & neck cancer.
