First seen Mar 08, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 10 times

Summary

This study tests a treatment for people with a dangerous blood clot in the lungs (pulmonary embolism). The approach uses a thin tube guided by ultrasound to deliver clot-busting medicine directly to the clot, aiming to reduce death and serious bleeding. About 300 adults with moderate-to-high risk will be followed for one year to see if this method is safer and more effective than standard care.
