First seen Mar 27, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 5 times

Summary

This study follows 400 adults diagnosed with a pulmonary embolism (a blood clot in the lungs) at Sahlgrenska University Hospital. Researchers will repeatedly check heart function, electrical activity, and blood markers during the first 48 hours to see if changes can better predict complications than single measurements. The goal is to improve early risk assessment and create a long-term follow-up system to enhance patient outcomes.
