First seen Jun 27, 2026 ยท Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tests whether using ultrasound to guide a scalp nerve block provides better pain control after brain tumor surgery in children compared to the traditional method. About 74 children having surgery on one side of the brain will be randomly assigned to receive either an ultrasound-guided or conventional scalp block. The goal is to see if ultrasound guidance reduces pain and improves safety by helping doctors avoid blood vessels.
