Tiny incision, big relief: Ultrasound-Guided surgery for trapped nerve

NCT ID NCT06678646

First seen Dec 29, 2025 · Last updated Jun 05, 2026 · Updated 22 times

Summary

This study tests a new, less invasive surgery for Lacertus syndrome, a condition where a band of tissue presses on a nerve in the elbow, causing pain and weakness. Instead of a standard open cut, doctors will use ultrasound guidance to make a tiny incision and release the nerve. The goal is to see if this approach safely improves arm function and reduces symptoms in 107 adults.
