First seen Apr 20, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 7 times
Summary
This study compares two cholesterol-lowering approaches in about 1,950 adults with chronic kidney disease and heart disease. One group gets a moderate statin plus ezetimibe, the other a high-dose statin alone. The goal is to see if the combination is as good at preventing heart attacks, strokes, and other major events, while being safer for the kidneys.
