Ear zaps may boost brain power in heart patients

Summary

This study tests a safe, non-invasive method to improve thinking and memory in people over 60 with atrial fibrillation (AF). The approach uses low-frequency electrical stimulation on the ear to activate the vagus nerve, which may enhance brain function. Sixty participants will receive the stimulation and be monitored for 6 months to see if it helps with attention, memory, and mental processing speed.
