First seen Jun 24, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This program gives adults with locally advanced pancreatic cancer access to a device that delivers gentle electric fields to the abdomen, combined with standard chemotherapy. The goal is to see if this approach is safe and feasible while the device awaits FDA approval. Participants must be able to use the device themselves or with help from a caregiver.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
TTFields (electric fields) plus gemcitabine and nab-paclitaxel chemotherapy
What this could lead to
If it works, this could offer a new treatment option for people with locally advanced pancreatic cancer, potentially slowing tumor growth.
What could go wrong
This is an early access program, not a full trial, so effectiveness is not yet proven. The device requires daily wear and may cause skin irritation.
