New imaging method could sharpen cancer detection

Summary

This early-phase study tests a special PET/CT scan that uses a modified tryptophan molecule to highlight tumors. Researchers want to see if this scan can better distinguish cancer from healthy tissue in people with brain tumors, breast cancer, neuroendocrine tumors, or rectal cancer. About 24 adults will participate to help improve future treatment planning.
