OCD drug candidate troriluzole fails to beat placebo in large trial

Summary
This Phase 3 trial tested whether adding troriluzole to standard OCD medications could reduce symptoms better than a placebo. The study enrolled 589 adults with OCD who had not responded well enough to their current treatment. After 8 weeks, troriluzole did not lead to significantly greater symptom improvement compared to placebo.
