New Triple-Drug attack before surgery shows promise for tough skin cancer

NCT ID NCT07501104

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tests whether giving three drugs (pucotenlimab, lenvatinib, and temozolomide) before surgery can shrink tumors in people with a specific type of skin cancer called acral melanoma, which is stage IIB or III and can be removed. About 30 adults will receive the drug combination for three cycles (each 3 weeks), then have surgery. After surgery, those whose tumors didn't respond well will continue one drug for a year; others stop treatment. The main goal is to see how many patients have a major reduction in tumor cells after the drugs.
