First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tested two different hands-on treatments for neck pain caused by trigger points (knots in the muscle). 34 adults with at least one trigger point received either a gentle hold-and-release technique or a scraping tool technique. Researchers measured pain, neck disability, and range of motion over three weeks to see which approach worked better.
