New hope for breast cancer survivors: drug may restore lost libido

NCT ID NCT07596212

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study looks at whether adding the drug bupropion (Wellbutrin) to standard hormone therapy can help women with early-stage breast cancer who have lost interest in sex. About 100 women will be randomly assigned to receive either their usual hormone therapy alone or with bupropion. The goal is to see if bupropion improves sexual desire and is safe to take alongside breast cancer treatment.
