Experimental drug combo aims to boost chemo in tough cancers

Summary
This study tests a new drug called TRC102 (methoxyamine) combined with two standard chemotherapy drugs (cisplatin and pemetrexed) in people with advanced solid tumors or mesothelioma that has not responded to prior treatments. The goal is to see if TRC102 can make cancer cells more sensitive to chemotherapy, potentially shrinking tumors or slowing their growth. About 30 adults are participating to find the best dose and evaluate side effects and effectiveness.
