Summary
This study tests a type of talk therapy called Trauma-Focused Psychodynamic Psychotherapy (TFPP) for veterans with PTSD who haven't gotten better with standard VA treatments. About 75 veterans will be randomly assigned to receive either TFPP or usual care. The goal is to see if TFPP reduces PTSD symptoms more than standard treatment.

- Trauma-Focused Psychodynamic Psychotherapy (TFPP)
- What this could lead to
- If successful, this could offer a new therapy option for veterans with PTSD who haven't gotten better with standard treatments.
- What could go wrong
- This is a small pilot study with only 75 participants, so results may not apply to all veterans. The therapy is also time-intensive and may not work for everyone.
