Targeted drug tested for tough cancers with specific genetic flaw

NCT ID NCT04439318

Summary

This study is testing a drug called trametinib for people with advanced cancers that have a specific genetic change called an NF1 mutation. The drug works by blocking proteins that these cancer cells may need to grow. Researchers want to see if trametinib can shrink these tumors or stop them from getting worse in patients whose cancer has not responded to other treatments.
