First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 29 times

Summary

This phase 2 trial tests whether the drug trametinib can help radioactive iodine (RAI) work better in people with advanced thyroid cancer that has returned or spread and no longer responds to RAI alone. About 34 adults with specific genetic types of thyroid cancer will receive trametinib followed by a radioactive iodine scan and treatment. The goal is to see if the combination can slow cancer growth or shrink tumors.
