First seen Apr 26, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 4 times

Summary

This study tests a non-invasive light therapy called transcranial photobiomodulation (tPBM) for people with treatment-resistant depression. It aims to see if different light frequencies can improve depression symptoms, especially physical ones like pain or fatigue. About 40 adults on stable antidepressants will receive the light treatment, and researchers will measure changes in mood and brain activity.
