Dentists test new fillings that may last longer in big cavities
NCT ID NCT07320885
First seen Jan 08, 2026 · Last updated Jun 12, 2026 · Updated 17 times
Summary
This study tested two types of tooth-colored fillings for large cavities in back teeth. 120 adults received either a fiber-reinforced or a bulk-fill flowable resin composite as the inner layer. Researchers checked the fillings over 4 years to see which held up better against breaking or falling out. The goal is to help dentists choose more durable materials for deep cavities.
