Summary

This study tested two different smoking cessation programs in 52 adults diagnosed with cancer in the past 3 years. One program offered 12 weeks of medication and 7 coaching calls focused on cancer, while the other offered 2 weeks of nicotine patches and 3 calls. The goal was to see which approach helped more patients quit smoking for good, with a focus on effectiveness and fairness across different patient groups.
