Can fasting or quitting smoking rewind your biological clock?
NCT ID NCT05678426
First seen May 10, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study looked at healthy women aged 30 to 60 who either started intermittent fasting (eating only during an 8-hour window) or quit smoking. Researchers checked if these lifestyle changes could improve DNA markers linked to aging and cancer risk over 6 months. Participants received personal coaching and optional exercise, but the study was designed to gather knowledge, not to test a treatment.
